I can not agree more about networking and the value of it in your career and your life. To have your resume hand delivered and or get a call from a trusted colleagues is huge.
The trick to networking is to be a bigger giver than taker. The system works because you are the right person for the position and people know your character.
In the executive world emotional intelligence is a key factor and this shows up in your career and your life.
So build the network as you would build your home from the foundation up.
