Good Thoughts.

Check out this upcoming webinar on Training &

Development

In today’s turbulent economy, is your organization

questioning the value of training and development?

Has your organization put training and development

investments on hold? Training and development

programs must be tailored to today’s economic

realities and deliver results quickly. Eliminating or

cutting the training budget is short-sighted and will put

your company at a disadvantage when the economy

does turn around. Now more than ever, organizations

must assess the talent they have in place, their skills,

and the needs of the business. Training and

development provide the foundation to fill the gaps in

talent, skills, and business needs. Organizations would

be wise not to withhold training and development

costs but instead look at these programs as an

investment in the company and your employees future.

In this interactive webinar, Claire Schooley, Senior

Analyst, Forrester Research will provide you the top 5

ways to protect your training and development budget:

* How to identify training & development initiatives

that are mission critical
* How to turn training & development into a revenue

generating product for your company
* How to improve your operations to get the most out

of your budget

Any training or development leader trying to protect

budget in a downturn or adapt organizations to new

economic challenges won’t want to miss these timely

insights. Register now!

This is a really nice post. Its like creating a legacy. People would want to be remembered about the good things that they do rather than the bad. Thanks for sharing this one.

Great post Paul.

Sorry to detract from your post - but can I just say something about the 'comments' (or rather, 'sales pitch') left by Danish Iqbal after your post.

Danish - In my humble opinion, cutting and pasting a sales page of your services under the comments section of a blog post is:

a) Really poor manners (it shows little respect for the author)
b) Really poor branding (makes me think you're a spammer rather than a real business)
c) Very amateurish (I'd never click on a link back for such an inappropriate pitch)

Sorry, nothing personal to you or your business. I just get sick of people doing it and felt it was about time i'd say something.

Comments sections of blogs should be about 'conversations' - not outright explicit promotion. If you have an interesting comment, opinion or simply want to thank the author - then thats great. People will more likely follow your link back and look at your services.

But just piggy backing onto someones blog post and adding nothing of value whatsoever to the discussion displays no respect for the author or other readers. In fact, in my opinion, it makes you completely 'Un-Memorable'
