If you're looking for a job in today's economy, listed below are 21 things you won't want to overlook:
- Stay open to possibilities and opportunities of all kinds.
- Remove the boxes, barriers and blinders you may have put on, or around, yourself.
- If you're not visible, get visible online and offline. Don't needlessly hurt your chances of getting noticed by people who need to know you.
- Do a better job of researching than you've ever done before on any other project.
- Let your passion and confidence ooze from each and every pore when you get a chance to tell your story.
- Remind yourself, as needed, to stop thinking negatively and start thinking positively.
- Think about things that matter. If it doesn't matter, don't think about it.
- Be absurdly and ridiculously prepared.
- Show your competence without being asked.
- Don't make hiring managers work at getting to know you -- they're already overworked.
- Be personable, agreeable, polite, and thoughtful. No matter how tough times are, you can still be these things.
- If you don't have confidence, get some. If you don't know how to get some confidence, ask someone who's got it for some pointers.
- Don't make excuses.
- Work harder, smarter, better, and longer at finding a job than at any other job you've ever done in your life.
- Ask people who care about you the most for some constructive feedback - and hopefully they will value you enough to tell you the hard things you don't want to hear. Hold on to the lines that make sense; let go of the rest.
- Don't take yourself out of the game before you need to.
- Hang out and connect with positive people who support you.
- Be specific in letting others know what you want so they can help you get it.
- Don't worry before you have to about all the what if scenarios.
- Negotiate everything. If you don't know how to negotiate, ask someone who's good at negotiation for a few good tips.
- Ask for what you want. It doesn't mean you'll get it...it just means you mustered the courage to ask and you may very well surprise yourself.

I'm Louise Fletcher. As President of

These are very good. I have passed along the job seekers and recommended they print out and put on their bathroom mirror to see as they start each day.

In simple words be confident on what you are until unless you have strong justification about your activities!
Make everything correct within your knowledge and ask questions if you are not certain

22) Be enthusiastic if not passionate about what you are pursuing. Sometimes "fake it until you make it" works. Find your passion http://hannahmorgan.typepad.com/hannah_morgan/2008/12/passion.html
