Traveling home from a holiday party last Saturday evening, we made up a game to occupy the hour-long trip home. One person would randomly think of a category...for example, "cities" and then name a city. According to our son's rules of the game, the next person had to name a city that started with the last letter of the city just mentioned. When one of the five players (passengers) messed up, on to a newly-created category. One of the categories in our game became slogans.
Still thinking about slogans today, listed below are the Top 10 Slogans of the Century. I have intentionally deleted the company that goes with the slogan to see how many you can get right. Before you try to guess the answers, though, how about thinking of your own slogan? What three, four or five words have you chosen to best represent you and your product (brand you) in today's competitive job search market?
- Diamonds are forever...
- Just do it...
- The pause that refreshes...
- Tastes great, less filling...
- We try harder...
- Good to the last drop...
- Breakfast of champions
- Does she...or doesn't she?...
- What it rains it pours...
- Where's the beef...
- ______________Insert your slogan here; ______________ insert your name here.
Before you hunt for work, give this slogan business some serious thought...and don't be surprised when you are asked about yours!
