I love this post, Sital! "Easy" options may not be so smart in the long run, especially if you end up in a career that's not what you thought it would be.
Among other things, the career changer you talked with should consider why there is a shortage of teachers and what teachers do during their holidays (elementary education is part of my background, so I can assure you that "holidays" for teachers don't always equal time off from work!)

I agree Sital, it is really a fact that as long as we live, there is always and a lot of ways to improve our learnings. There is always a room for improvement as we learn.

Warren Buffett once compared choosing a career to choosing a spouse. The truth is that most of us will spend more time working than we will spend with our spouses. It makes sense that at least as much care and consideration should go into that process as well.
